Prices and Payment
All prices are in pounds sterling (GBP). We accept payment only via Paypal or Credit card.(You do not need a PayPal account, any credit card can be used)
When payments are made in any currently other than GBP (British Pounds), PAYPAL may add a currency conversion charge, typically 3.8%.
Shipping costs and Timescales
All goods are despatched within 2-3 business days of order
U.K
We ship with a variety of couriers for a 2 day delivery in the UK.

EU (European Union)
Since leaving the EU, most good imported into the EU from the UK will incur import duties and sales taxes (VAT), but don’t worry. Our shipping charge incorporates all of these charges. This service is called DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) our shipping price of £69.99 means that you will not have to pay any import duties, sales taxes (VAT) or Tariffs charges at your end.Delivery takes between 4-5 business days using UPS, DPD or DHL
USA
We pay all import duties and Tariffs at this end, the service is called DDP (Delivered Duty Paid), our shipping price of £69.99 means that you will not have to pay any additional charges at your end. Delivery takes between 4-5 business days using either UPS or DHL
Other countries (Rest of the world)
At the moment we mainly use UPS, DHL or DPD for international shipments, below are the latest shipping charges for some additional counties. However, if your country is not shown we suggest that you send us an email as we may be able to find a better deal, as presently within our system all other counties are defaulted to £139 shipping charge, its worth asking before you order.
Send an email to get a quote for the shipping charge, to sales@oriental-umbrellas.com. If you are happy with the quote, to order we will send a Secure PayPal money request.

Oriental Umbrellas are not responsible for delays due to customs procedures.
Purchasing
All items offered on our website are subject to availability. To purchase any of the items on our Web Site, click the “Add to Cart” button shown on each product page. When you place an order to purchase a product by clicking the button “Order Now”, we will send you an e-mail confirming receipt of your order and containing the details of your order.
Your order represents an offer to us to purchase a product which is accepted by us when we send e-mail confirmation confirmation that the contract will be fulfilled. For security reasons your order’s data is not accessible via the internet. We keep the data in confidence according to our privacy policy.

Due to the bespoke and handmade nature of our products, some patterns and colours could vary slightly from those shown.

Returns and Refund Policy
You have the right to cancel your order within seven working days of delivery (starting the day after you receive the goods) and return the item for a full refund, unless it has been made to your own specification.
It is your responsibility to give notice of your wish to cancel within this cancellation period (of seven days on receipt of the item) by email or phone. You are under a duty to take reasonable care of the goods. The goods must be returned at your expense and we would recommend for your own protection that you use a recorded delivery service. When the goods have been received and inspected we will then refund the full amount paid.

The products are warranted for one year for manufacturing defects

These Terms and Conditions do not affect any of your statutory rights.
Umbrella Usage and Care
Our umbrellas are hand made from wood and cotton, therefore, they must be used and cared for appropriately The umbrella must be mounted into a suitable commercially available umbrella stand made from metal or stone weighted.
If placed through the hole in the centre of a patio table the umbrella must also be mounted into a suitable umbrella stand.
The umbrella could be damaged if allowed to blow over, therefore it is advised that umbrellas should be let down at night and during windy conditions During inclement weather the umbrella should be stored in a dry location
GDPR (Data Privacy)
Oriental Umbrellas do not maintain a customer or marketing database. If a customer has purchased or enquired about a product we will retain their name, address, phone number and email address for 12 months. At the end of the products warranty period (normally 12 months ) we will delete this data from our systems. If you wish to have your details deleted earlier please send an email to sales@oriental-umbrellas.com
Health and Safety
The Umbrellas are for outdoor use only. If required for indoor use they can be treated with a fire retardant solution, which would be applied by our suitably qualified partners. Please contact us before ordering to discuss your requirements.
